Silver Queen Pothos
Unlike its name suggests the Scindapsus Pictish ‘Exotica’ is not a pothos though they are related. Like a pothos however, they are just as easy to grow. They are a vining plant and have large heart shaped leaves. The leaves are variegated dark green with silver grey splashes and have velvety shimmery texture. Originating from South and Southeast Asia it can grow up to 10 feet tall outdoors and 3 feet indoors.
AKA: Satin Pothos, Silver Splash Pothos, Silver Philodendron.
Light: Low light tolerant and up to bright indirect light. Too much light will burn the leaves and too little will cause the leaves to lose their variegation.
Watering: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry to the touch. Water slowly and evenly; discard excess. Reduce watering in the winter.
Humidity: Normal home humidity is sufficient but it will also do with in medium to high humidity.
Toxicity: Mildly toxic to cats, dogs and humans.
Potting Mix: Regular potting mix. It should hold moisture but also be fast draining.
Additional Care: Due to its vining nature it is perfect for hanging planters or it can be trained to climb a support.
