Xanadu Philodendron

The Xanadu Philodendron (Philodendron xanadu) is native to South America. It has thick green leaves which are deeply split and lobed. Unlike many philodendrons this is not a climber but a clumper. It can reach 2-4 feet high and wide. This plant is a beautiful addition to any collection.

AKA: Philodendron Xanadu, Winterbourn

Light: Tolerates low light; does well in medium to bright indirect light. Direct sun can cause burns and leaf fading.

Watering: Water when the top 1-2 inches of soil is dry. Water slowly and evenly until water comes out of the drainage holes; discard excess.

Humidity: Average home humidity to high humidity.

Toxicity: Toxic to cats, dogs and humans.

Potting Mix: Rich and fast draining.

Additional Care: Dust regularly. Yellow leaves are normal to some extent. They can yellow as the plant adjusts to a new location. Older growth can yellow as well. Simply trim off yellow leaves.
